About Us

Since 2003 I have been working in coppiced woodland, cutting the wood and making greenwood and coppice crafts. Previous to that I was working on organic farms around Somerset, mainly in horticulture.

I was initially inspired by the pole-lathe (a pre-electric lathe commonly associated with production of round components for chair making, most notably the legs) and after pursuing that for some time I became interested in many woodland skills from charcoal production to gate hurdles, basketry, spoon carving, woven panels, furniture making etc.

With these skills I started my business and still try to use traditional tools and methods where I can, aware that many of these skills are being lost.
